Single portal endoscopic cubital tunnel release is a relatively simple, successful, with minimal complications, approach to uncomplicated cubital tunnel compression syndrome.
This preliminary report describes the author's methodology and attests to the short-term success in alleviating ulnar nerve compression at the elbow in 30 patients, in 15 of which there are over 2 years follow-up.
Several existing endoscopic sets are perfectly adequate, using the ubiquitous 30 degree, 4.0 scope.
Endoscopic cubital tunnel release is relatively easy to learn, but requires fastidious attention to detail and proper selection of patients to optimize success with rapid recovery of function and minimal postoperative discomfort.
