Educational Objectives:
After completing this activity the participant will:
- Recognize allegations made against chiropractors in insurance claims, identify ways to avoid these allegations, and plan what to do if a claim has already been filed;
- Obtain current information on how to protect his practice in some common, but potentially threatening, situations;
- Understand a lawsuit and be better able to deal with the stress of a lawsuit;
- Utilize communication skills to prevent malpractice lawsuits; and
- Identify a sense of what might be involved with the idea of improving the delivery of care and minimizing risk to the older patient, thereby limiting exposure to potential litigation.
