The Journal, published quarterly, gives biochemists, molecular biologists, and physical chemists rapid access to the most exciting recent research articles that further the understanding of the structure-function relationship of proteins and nucleic acids. Each issue of the journal provides readers with a quick synopsis of the most important current and past articles as selected, reviewed and commented on by internationally recognized authorities. The Journal is one of the first meeting grounds for the disciplines of biochemistry, molecular biology and physical chemistry. The disciplines are now converging as scientists try to solve the mysteries of how these enormously complex molecules are structured, how they attain that structure, and how that structure produces the function. ChemTracts Biochemistry and Molecular Biology gives readers updates on the newest trends and developments in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology by summarizing and commenting on current and past research. The Journal presents research summaries, informal reviews of an author’s work, and feature articles from leading scientists in an easy-to-read standardized format.

In response to reader and Editorial Board feedback, we’ve added the following new features to expand the coverage of the Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Journal.

Upcoming Thematic Special Issues
Invited expert guest editors create individual issues based on a specific topic.

Mini-Reviews
Short reviews and commentaries on a series of recent papers.

Group Highlights
Invited papers that showcase the research accomplishments of published works in the field. This feature enables our Board Members to submit their work in the context of other recent advances in an area, allowing them to comment on future directions in the field.
